Daan Colussi is fascinated by what the city does not consciously show, but does make temporarily visible. As a designer and visual artist, he archives the small details in the streetscape that usually go unnoticed or threaten to disappear. Through photography and risograph illustration, he explores the tension between the everyday and the made enviroment.
Sometimes I wander around town and take pictures of sober, functional buildings, graffiti tags, fluorescent lighting, among other things. The illustrations are made by redrawing the photographs, translating my impressions into ink on paper.
